Havanese colors change...
Havanese can darken or lighten in color as they grow and mature. We never know what to expect when it comes to their coloring throughout their life as genetics play a part in determining how they will change in color.
Ruby's transition from a baby!!
We went to Germany where we found beautiful 'clear red' Havanese. 'Clear red' means the color does not have black or other colors in the coat. There is a red sable color that often includes black on the ears or mask. The color of a red Havanese can vary from a light peachy color to a dark mahogany color and by definition can be only a small patch of red. It is common for the pups to darken or lighten with age.
Ruby, Bailey & Savy our red lines that we acquired from Germany, we are so happy with these wonderful dogs and the beautiful babies they bring into our lives. Thank you Sabine for being a wonderful show breeder and mentor.
